CthulhuTech: The Shadow War is a science fantasy role playing game set in a high-tech near-future Earth, with magic and monsters blended in. The world teeters on the edge of apocalypse, as aliens and powerful dark entities alike seek to bring about their own new age and the end to ours. The original award-winning CthulhuTech core book sold more than 10K copies, supported years of supplemental material, and was translated into three languages. This unique game is easy for players to learn with lots of options for characters and customization. The system is straightforward and flexible, with three ways to approach the mechanics, from traditional dice rolling to narrative resource management. When your customers are looking for something different, CthulhuTech: The Shadow War is a strong contender. Point them to the right place and the art and characters will sell themselves. This book makes it easy for a new player to become a CthulhuTech: The Shadow War game master. There’s very little “must read before playing,” helping them launch into their own games without getting bogged down. When they come back later, they’ll be pleased to discover the secret setting chapters. They cover cults, gods, and the secret history of the world, along with giving GM’s places beyond Earth to feature in their adventures. New and experienced game masters alike will appreciate the sizable number of adventure starters and hooks, to help inspire their creativity in creating their own adventures. A generous part of the book is dedicated to the unique monsters and other horrifying things of CthulhuTech for players to fight. Everyone loves those.
