OSR News Roundup for 12.20.21

This is the first post of the OSR News Roundup, which I'm hoping will be posted on a weekly basis every Monday, covering OSR releases from the previous week. If you have something you would like included please email me details at thirdkingdomgames at gmail dot com. You can send me:

  • Notifications of new releases (please include links) as well as a one or two line description.

  • Kickstarters (please limit these to two notifications per Kickstarter: one to announce the start or creation and one approximately a week prior to the completion).

  • Looking for games or looking for players. Be sure to state what game, media, and a way of contacting you that you don't mind seeing on the internet.

  • Any sales or promotions involving your products

  • Anything else OSR-gaming adjacent except for blog posts (there's just too many of these to keep up with, and other folks are already doing blog round-ups).

Some of the recent items that have caught my eye:

  • Dungeon Plumbers, by Wyrd Valley Press, is now available at Drivethru in pdf. Compatible with OSE Advanced, it provides rules for creating a "dieselpunk" setting.

  • Lands of Legend Holiday Bundle, from Axian Spice, is available at Drivethru in pdf. Provides locations and encounters to add to your hexcrawl game.

  • James Floyd Kelly, of Delver, has a limited number of print copies left of Delver 1 and 2 that can be purchased directly from his website.

  • As someone who plays mostly play-by-post games these days I was interested to stumble across Ossuary on reddit (link leads to itch), a one page minimal OSR game designed specifically for pbp.

  • Beyond the Burning Teeth is the first adventure by Amanda P, just released to itch, and is statted out for B/X, 5e, and Cairn. Set in volcanic mountains, it's a 30-page adventure that includes a village and statted out NPCs.

  • The Reiver's Lament, a largely system-neutral module set in 16th-century Scotland, is now live on Drivethru.
